Training event in Prague – WP3
The coordinating institution Czech University of Life Sciences Prague has got a pleasure to host one-week training focused on Quality Assurance (QA) at Higher Education Institutions for IQAT partners from Kazakhstan. The main purpose of the training is to give trainees an in-depth overview of how EU HEIs implement their internal QA procedures in line with international standards. The aim of the training is to provide trainees with a context for reflection on challenges and opportunities, to make a proposal for the design of a solid internal QA system at their universities taking into account the requirements of their specific contexts. The training consists of theoretical lectures and practical workshops. The theoretical part involves: Bologna Process priorities relevant for KZ and their HEIs, European University Association’s activities; U-map methodology and its possible adaption to the partners´ needs; and Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in EHEA, Part 1 (ESG, revised version). The application of theoretical knowledge (separate KZ groups) is done via workshops focused on : specification (draft) of the HEIs (KZ) profiles exploiting the U-Map methodology; elements of innovation/modification of the existing systems or creation of the new ones, debates on strategies in internal QA exploiting HEIs typology and ESG; Individual consultations; examples of internal QA systems at EU HEIs; and practical pilot exercise for self-evaluation (internal evaluation).
